UPROAR Case #HA-1CLB-00064, Little Rock, AR

Capital Hotel

Background: The Capital Hotel in Little Rock, situated near Arkansass first state capitol building (the Old State House), has been part of the citys history since 1872. Once the most luxurious hotel in the state, it often served as an unofficial political headquarters, where decisions, as well as political careers, were made. In 1974, the hotel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Claims: This hotel is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a labourer, as well as a young woman's apparition who fell to her death. She is said to mostly appear in guest rooms, or moves luggage around. Screaming and wails have also been reported in a number of locations throughout the building.

UPROAR Investigated: No

Our take: The haunting of the Capital Hotel is no secret, and just about everyone that has been connected to the property has a ghost story or two. We would love to have an opportunity to investigate here, but as an active (and busy) hotel, that's extremely unlikely.

Is it haunted: Probably
