Humans have been witnessing strange things flying through the sky since the dawn of history. Early man attributed these sightings to gods, angels, or mystical beings. But could some of these legends have been the same objects modern man has seen buzzing thru Earth's skies? Many ufologists think the biblical account of Ezekiel's Wheel may have been the first written contact between humans and a UFO, rather than a spiritual event.
A "celestial phenomena" that took place over Nuremberg, Germany in 1561 is also suspect. Some interpret this to have been a battle between extra-terrestial species. Of course, it could have been something much more mundane, such as a fanciful depiction of a sun-dog.
Since the mid-20th century, our awareness of UFO's has increased exponentially, notably in 1947 with the Kenneth Arnold UFO sighting and the subsequent Roswell incident. Many well known and documented sightings have occurred around the world since that time, but many sceptics remained.
Fast-forward to the 21st century, and the U.S. Government has finally come forward and admitted that there are objects flying around in the Earth's skies that are of unknown origin. These objects are capable of technical feats that appear to be way beyond the engineering capabilities of modern society. Government videos and details of recent sightings, along with a description of physical effects from these craft should leave no doubt that the phenomena is real.
That brings up the next big question: what are they? By our reasoning here at UPROAR, we believe this list represents the most likely possibilities.
- Craft of extra-terrestial origin
- Humans time-travelling from the future
- Inter-dimensional travelers
- Highly-advanced craft part of a secret U.S. Government program
- Highly-advanced craft of a foreign government program
- An intelligent, advanced, non-human terrestial species that has avoided detection for all of human history

There is no shortage of reports of sightings or contact with various alien species in popular reports of UFO's, but there is a major shortage of hard evidence. Could these craft really be of alien origin?
The known universe could contain well over a trillion galaxies, each with 100+ billon stars. Thanks to modern science, we now know that most solar systems contain planets, and many of these appear to be suitable for life. Some studies have estimated that there could be as many as 300 million planets suitable for life in just our own galaxy!
Ask any scientist what the likelihood of life is beyond Earth, and you'll probably get a unanimous response of 100%. Why? With so many planets and galaxies, the potential for life - even simple cellular life - is overwhelming.
But what about intelligent life? While we cannot prove our theory, we at UPROAR believe that with the overwhelmingly large number of planets in the galaxy (let alone the universe), it's highly probable that humans are not the only species of intelligent life that has developed. The odds are overwhelmingly against that being the case.
Of course, the big question is: has intelligent life visited Earth? I don't think we can say conclusively that the operators of the UFO's being seen in our skies are extra-terrestials, but we think it's the most probable answer.

If you've read any science-fiction novels or watched movies of this genre, you're probably quite familiar with the concept of time travel. The first hurdle to this theory is that we don't even know if time travel is possible.
Let's just assume for the moment that it's possible and some descendants of ours have figured out how to make it happen. If there is one thing science fiction has taught us, time travel would be very dangerous. Any change made in the past could have disasterous consequences for the future. In fact, this brings up what is called the time-travel paradox. Let's assume you travel back in time and kill your grandfather before your father comes along. That means that you will never exist in the future. But if you will never exist, how could you travel back in time and kill your grandfather?!
For us, the time travel theory is pretty uncomfortable. Not only that, those ugly, short, wrinkly "greys" that everyone associates with aliens? That would mean those are "evolved" humans. No. Just no.

The general opinion of science is that other dimensions may very well exist. The problem is, we know absolutely nothing about them. Now if you are a spiritual person, you probably have some belief in an afterlife, in a place such as "heaven", "nirvana", or whatever your particular faith calls it. I think it's fairly safe to think of "heaven" (or whatever you call your ultimate spiritual destination) as another plane of existence - i.e. another dimension. So conceptually, other dimensions may not be that hard to imagine for many of us.
From a scientific standpoint, however, there just isn't much to go on. Let's just suppose other dimensions exist, and there are beings who populate those dimensions. They could physically occupy the same space as we do, but in another dimension, so we are totally unaware of them. That's a difficult concept to imagine, but I would not discount this as a possibility for UFO's. We don't know precisely what they are. A lot of us "assume" they must be aliens from another planet, but what if they are residents of another dimension?

I think many people that are not familiar with the UFO phenomena make the assumption that "these must be some kind of secret U.S. Government craft". While the U.S. Government has a long track record of developing secret aircraft and keeping them under wraps for decades, the craft we are seeing here are just far too advanced for 21st century science. And keep in mind, these craft have been around long before modern aviation. WWII bomber pilots were seeing "foo fighers" over Europe when we were still flying propellor aircraft.
Another big problem with that theory is that some of these craft appear to be exhibiting maneuvers that would produce g-forces in excess of 1000 g's! One scientist even calculated that some of the craft observed during the U.S. Navy "tic-tac" incident exhibited speeds up to 100,000 mph and were pulling g-forces in excess of 9000 g's! Keep in mind that humans can withstand no more than 9 g's, and only for a few seconds. In addition, we have no method of propulsion that can propel a craft that quickly, let alone have it stop on a dime and turn mid-air. We also have no construction material that could withstand the speeds, pressures, temperatures, and g-forces such acceleration would produce. We thoroughly believe these craft are not of U.S. origin.

Could these be Russian craft? Chinese? Japanese? Or even another European power, such as the U.K., Germany, or France?
Many of these countries have a track record of producing advanced aircraft, but the same arguments that apply to the U.S. Government apply to these nations. The engineering and materials science doesn't exist to produce a craft that would hold up under those levels of acceleration - not even close.
Also, consider how much a single one of these craft would cost to design, prototype, and deploy. A single craft could run into the hundreds of billions in U.S. dollars. And during the tic-tac incident, a Navy radar operator testified to seeing well over 1,000 of these craft desending from a high-altitude (and into the sea) over the course of several days. So let's multiply hundreds of billions of dollars times a minumum of 1,000 craft. Nope, no way. We don't believe there is any chance these were produced by an ally or adversary of the United States.

Many of the UFO's that have been reported by the Navy have been seen entering and exiting the ocean's surface with ease. When they are underwater, we refer to them as USO's, or Unknown Submerged Object (or alternatively Unknown Submersible Object). However you chalk it up, these things may be hiding under the sea, well-away from the prying eyes of humanity.
So what are they doing down there? Nobody knows. But let's expand our thoughts to consider the possibility - however unlikely - that another advanced intelligent species evolved right here on Earth, and we humans are completely unaware of them.
Crazy, right? How could we be unaware of another species right here on Earth? Well, we know more about the surface of the moon than we do about the depths of our oceans. What if an aquatic species evolved into an advanced, intelligent society and totally kept their distance from us land-based humans? Seems pretty far-fetched to me, but these craft are going underwater, and we don't know what's down there.
We don't think this is a likely scenario, but it's one we cannot dismiss completely.
